Key Responsibilities

As a Programme Analyst, you will support the development and rollout of new Spotlight Initiative country and regional programmes. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Support Programme Development and Strategy

  • Provide expert guidance to UN Country Teams (UNCTs) on designing new programmes aligned with the Spotlight Initiative framework.
  • Ensure programme strategies include sustainable and transformative approaches to ending violence against women and girls.
  • Assist in defining governance, management, and accountability frameworks for new programmes.

2. Coordinate UN Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the liaison between UNDP, UN Women, and other implementing agencies.
  • Support high-level consultations with governments, donors, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
  • Ensure programme design follows the Leave No One Behind (LNOB) principle and the Do No Harm approach.

3. Research, Knowledge Management, and Advocacy

  • Consolidate research, best practices, and data on gender-based violence.
  • Develop knowledge-sharing tools and frameworks for country teams.
  • Facilitate cross-country learning and capacity-building efforts.

4. Resource Mobilization and Fundraising

  • Assist in mobilizing resources and engaging new donors.
  • Support fundraising strategies, including the organization of high-level events and donor roundtables.

Who Can Apply?

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Gender Studies, International Development, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, or related fields (with at least 2 years of experience); OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in UN pooled funding/joint programming and UN Development System Reform processes.
  • Strong background in gender equality, women’s empowerment, or EVAWG programmes.
  • Previous experience with EU-funded programming is a plus.
  • Proven track record in partnership management and resource mobilization.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and French is required.
  • Knowledge of Spanish is an advantage.
