About UNDP: Driving Global Development & Sustainability

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a leading global organization dedicated to fighting poverty, promoting sustainable development, and fostering resilience worldwide. With operations in over 170 countries, UNDP collaborates with governments, civil society organizations, and private sector partners to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As part of its environmental sustainability initiatives, UNDP is actively addressing the waste management crisis in Asia and the Pacific Islands. With urbanization, population growth, and increased consumerism, waste production is skyrocketing. This surge in waste, particularly plastic pollution, poses significant risks to both human health and the environment.

To combat these issues, UNDP, in partnership with The Coca-Cola Foundation, is implementing a circular economy project aimed at enhancing waste management systems in more than nine Asia-Pacific countries. In the Philippines, this initiative will focus on plastic waste collection, recycling, and innovative business models to create a more sustainable environment. Now, you have the chance to be a part of this transformative project!
