Job Description

Overview of Position
This position is based in Abyei. The ICT Project Support reports to the Chief of Facilities & Environmental Management Unit and supports the implementation of the Field Remote Infrastructure Monitoring (FRIM) as the enabling platform for SMART camp through data analysis and interpretation.
Role Objectives
Under the delegated authority from the Chief of Facilities & Environmental Management Unit, the Camp Management/Data Administrator shall be responsible for the following duties:
Implementation/Operations:
- Create or review data requirements, data mappings, and design documents to ensure that the camp management’s data needs are accurately represented.
- Modify data infrastructure to streamline the processes of data analysis and reporting.
- Analyze water and electricity consumption using FRIM data and interpret results.
- Support and assist the camp management contractor in using both the mobile application of FRIM and i-auditor.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
- Collaborate with management to prioritize and define process improvement opportunities within camp management.
- Participate in root cause analysis and provide corrective actions as required.
- Analyze data from Comindware and i-auditor to support predictive analysis.
- Oversee the check-in and check-out process through FSS.
Planning:
- Assist with monitoring the consumption of water and waste production, setting targets for consumption in conjunction with other stakeholders.
- Support the camp management cell in developing a quality assurance plan to provide a systematic method to monitor facility and camp performance.
- Participate in developing risk assessments and risk management plans using FRIM data.
- Assist in developing contract compliance checklists and implementation plans for facility and asset care management contracts.
Administration:
- Support the camp management of our client’s HQ in Abyei in supervising and monitoring the performance indicators of the camp management service contractor.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on water, electricity, and fuel consumption.
- Support the camp management cell in office administration, record management, and the check-in/check-out process of staff.
- Promote best practices in relation to facility management, ensuring compliance with UN legislations and standards.
- Advise on the most advanced, cost-effective, and low-maintenance smart/remote monitoring solutions for asset and facility management.

Project Reporting
This role reports to the Chief of Facilities & Environmental Management Unit.
Key Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Supplementary courses or additional training in facilities management or other related fields are desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in reporting and analytics or data science areas with exposure to data analysis and reporting/analytical trends and facility management operations.
- Hands-on experience with analyzing large volumes of data sets and creating reports and dashboards using BI tools (such as SAP Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau) is mandatory.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
- Ability to contribute to team performance with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of initiative, self-confidence, and a self-starter, with proven problem-solving skills, ability to deliver high-quality results, and operates with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience working in a UN mission is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Thorough technical knowledge of different waste management solutions, including hazardous waste; ability to simplify complex information and communicate such information to less technically trained team members.
- Good adaptability skills to find creative solutions depending on contexts.
