Role Purpose
The Warehouse and Logistic Assistant plays a crucial support role within the Supply Chain team, contributing to the smooth execution of transportation, distribution, and warehousing activities. This position involves providing administrative assistance, coordinating shipments, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with established processes. The Warehouse and Logistic Assistant collaborates closely with both program and supply chain members to ensure efficient operations that comply with SCI policy, supporting our programs to deliver outstanding results for children.

Location: Mae Sot, Thailand
Contract Length: 12 months, with a possibility of extension.

Role Dimensions: The position works closely with internal stakeholders such as the Supply Chain function and program operation, focusing on the humanitarian team. It also engages with external stakeholders including 3rd party suppliers, volunteers, CBOs/CSOs, and implementing partners.
Key Areas of Accountability
Warehousing and Inventory Assistance:
- Organize warehouse space, storage, safety, and security in compliance with SCI policy.
- Maintain warehouse procedures and manage warehouse goods storage systematically.
- Regularly update stock release forms and check the quantity, expiry date, and physical condition of all received goods.
- Conduct physical stock checks and investigate any discrepancies.
- Ensure that all incoming and outgoing stock for beneficiary distributions and program use are captured in TIM by the Senior Supply Chain and Support Service Officer.
- Perform daily warehouse duties including inbound (loading/unloading containers) and outbound (pick/pack), as well as materials handling.
- Ensure workplace cleanliness and safety in collaboration with the Office Housekeeper.
- Perform basic Warehouse Management System (WMS) duties and assist with ongoing stocktaking.
- Supervise and train warehouse trainees and casual labor, ensuring proper record-keeping of items offloaded/loaded at the warehouses.
Logistic Assistance:
- Support program distribution for humanitarian response projects, such as Non-Food Items (NFI) and Home-Based Learning (HBL) activities.
- Organize NFI and HBL distributions, monitor and supervise community volunteers and field contractors, and ensure attendance is tracked according to SCI standards.
- Liaise with the Procurement and Logistics team throughout the procurement process to ensure items meet technical standards.
- Support in drafting quarterly progress reports and provide accurate data analysis and reporting.
- Maintain positive relationships with beneficiaries, community representatives, community leaders, and local authorities to facilitate SCI’s work in target areas.
- Assist with additional administrative duties as required, including preparing PRs, PRFs, and other tasks.
- Coordinate the off-loading and stacking of goods at the warehouse and track the commodities in the pipeline, reporting to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications
- Nationality: Thai
- Education: Diploma in Public or Business Administration or a related discipline.
Experience and Skills
- Required:
- At least 2 to 3 years of related working experience.
- Good organizational and management skills, including problem-solving.
- Basic verbal and written English skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively.
- Valid driving license and experience driving in remote areas.
- Physical fitness for job-related duties.
- Availability for field duty trips.
- Flexibility in task execution and ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform under stress and in difficult circumstances.
- Desirable:
- Ability to manage diverse vehicle maintenance operations and equipment usage.
- Excellent administration and organizational skills.
- Ability to speak Karen and/or Burmese.
- Experience working in an intercultural environment.
