Organizational Context
Global hunger has reached alarming levels, and WFP is committed to addressing this crisis. To enhance efficiency, WFP is relocating key procurement and supply chain functions to the UAE, establishing a Global Supply Chain Support Center in Dubai. This center includes six national Emirati positions under WFP’s Humanitarian Leaders Programme, which aims to nurture young Emirati talent and develop future humanitarian leaders.
Job Purpose
The Strategic Market Analyst will support the development and implementation of the Goods & Services Supplier Relationship Management strategy, focusing on the GCC region. The role involves market analysis, supplier engagement, and procurement strategy development.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct market analyses to identify best-value suppliers in the GCC/UAE region.
- Assess market dynamics to enhance WFP’s procurement processes.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier networks in the GCC.
- Participate in relevant supplier events to expand WFP’s network.
- Contribute to procurement strategies to increase local supplier participation.
- Monitor global market trends and pricing.
- Promote innovation in procurement practices.
- Organize meetings between WFP colleagues and vendors.
- Support WFP’s objectives through additional duties as required.

Position Requirements
- Education: University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, International Relations, or related field.
- Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English.
- Experience: Minimum 1-year post-graduate experience.
- Skills: Strong work ethic, commitment to humanitarian goals, excellent people skills, ability to thrive in multicultural environments, analytical thinking, and innovation.
- Eligibility: Only UAE Nationals are eligible to apply.
