Responsibilities

  • Strategic Workforce Planning:
    • Develops and implements strategic workforce planning, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Leads the workforce planning process, overseeing post actions and restructuring proposals.
    • Assesses the current workforce and its characteristics through talent reviews and functional assessments.
    • Projects supply versus demand models and identifies gaps.
    • Develops strategies to close gaps with appropriate talent solutions.
    • Implements and maintains oversight of workforce planning plans.
    • Conducts lessons-learned exercises to mainstream workforce planning practices into broader Agency-wide planning processes.
  • HR Department Submissions:
    • Prepares and manages yearly submissions for the 5th Committee – Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ) for UN NY.
    • Participates in budget hearings and quarterly expenditure meetings with the Finance Department.
  • Talent Management and Reform Initiatives:
    • Provides expert advice to support talent management and management reform initiatives Agency-wide.
    • Ensures continuous integration with overall workforce planning.
  • HR Systems Dashboards and Reporting:
    • Leads monitoring and reporting on staffing data in HR systems, including trend analysis and preparation of corporate HR statistical reports.
    • Coordinates HR data integration, completeness, and accuracy across enterprise systems.
    • Manages HR systems implementation and improvement, including business process reengineering and automation.
    • Designs, creates, implements, maintains, and supports a variety of HR reports and dashboards.
    • Provides coaching, training, and guidance on system and dashboard-related matters to ensure staff development and high performance.

Education

  • Essential: Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in HRM, Data Analytics, Organizational Development, or a related field such as business or public administration, economics.

Work Experience

  • Essential: Minimum of seven years of progressive professional experience in Human Resources Management, including several years developing and implementing a corporate workforce plan.
  • Required: Experience in implementing organizational change initiatives, business analytics, and designing and implementing monitoring dashboards.
  • Desirable: Experience in business intelligence tools such as SAP, technical SAP HR experience, knowledge of HR data, time-dependent data and workforce analytics, and knowledge of Power BI and dashboards.
