The Administration & Logistic Assistant contributes to these goals by providing critical logistical support.
Objective
The role demands strong coordination between the Program and Operations sections to support the overall implementation of the country program. It involves close collaboration with program and operations staff, as well as external partners like departmental directors, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Program Implementation and Logistics Support:
- Provide comprehensive logistical support for planning and organizing program-related activities and events, including venue arrangements, procurement of necessary materials, and timely transport and accommodation for participants.
- Work closely with project logistical/administrative assistants and supervise the management of inputs under UNFPA’s responsibility.
- Maintain stock management systems and ensure timely and appropriate procurement processes for program and project needs.
- Assist with records management for durable office equipment and supplies, reflecting new entries promptly and arranging for stock disposal.
- Offer procedural guidance and training for project staff on inventory management and record-keeping.
Operations Support:
- Support the procurement of equipment and supplies for both program and operational needs.
- Assist with vehicle fuel procurement and maintain fuel usage reports.
- Prepare vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to service dates.
- Facilitate official travel arrangements for UNFPA Haiti staff for both local and international missions.
- Perform additional tasks as required by UNFPA management.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- University degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business Management, or related fields.
Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in program and/or administration, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Professional experience with the UN is an asset.
- Proficiency in using office software (MS Word, Excel) and web-based management systems.
Language:
- Proficiency in French and working knowledge of English.
- Additional UN languages, especially Spanish or Portuguese, are desirable.
