Duties and Responsibilities
The individual contractor will play a vital role in developing and implementing a comprehensive e-commerce training program for the Government of Botswana. Responsibilities include:
- Development of e-academy and Training Modules: Contribute to the development of an e-academy, online courses, and training modules. This involves uploading course content and materials to an e-platform and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of certificates for course completion.
- Launch and Dissemination: Support the launch and dissemination of the e-academy and online courses, including organizing launch events and related activities in June/July 2024. This includes contacting entrepreneurs, facilitating registrations, and assisting with course delivery at launch events.
- Research and Note-Taking: Provide research and note-taking support as needed during program development and implementation.
- Virtual Community Support: Assist in managing a virtual community/network of Botswana entrepreneurs, including follow-up activities with the Advisory Board.
Qualifications/special skills
- Advanced University degree (masters) in economics, business administration, international relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 months working experience in e-commerce or marketing.
- Experience working with Excel sheets is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability and capacity for socio-economic research and analysis, including data analysis.
Languages
Fluency in English (oral and written) and proficiency in the Botswana language, Setswana, is required.
