Position Summary
The Communication and Advocacy Intern will support UNICEF Jordan’s advocacy and external communications efforts for children’s rights. Responsibilities include producing content, writing stories, supporting events and missions, designing communication packages, and developing knowledge management products.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Collect and produce testimonials, stories, photos, videos, and digital multimedia content for external communication with stakeholders, including media and donors.
- Writing: Write stories showcasing the impact of UNICEF programs on children, youth, and families, preparing web-friendly articles for key moments in the calendar.
- Event Support: Support missions, visits, and events with photography, video, and social media coverage as needed.
- Brand Integration: Work with the Design and Brand Officer to integrate brand building into office work and design donor-friendly communication packages for key flagship programs.
- Research and Development: Support research and development of knowledge management products and case studies to demonstrate impact and support external communication and resource mobilization.
- Event Organization: Assist in organizing key public events in collaboration with the Communication team and external partners.

Qualifications
- Education: Enrolled in or recently graduated (within the past two years) from an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. program in communications, international relations, marketing, digital media, journalism, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong writing, editing, and research skills; understanding of communications, project management, and branding.
- Language: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.

- Sustainability (CRITAS).
