In terms of compensation, Girls Not Brides offers a competitive salary starting at £32,600, with incremental increases annually. Introduction to the Role:
Girls Not Brides is searching for a proactive and enthusiastic Development and Outreach Officer to contribute significantly to mobilizing resources, expanding the network, and raising awareness about child marriage globally. This role involves collaborating within the Development and Outreach Team to formulate and execute fundraising strategies, foster donor relationships, lead in the development of grant proposals and reporting processes, and provide support for outreach events.
Job Location:
The position is based in London, UK, with a hybrid work model allowing for up to three days per week on-site. International travel may be required.

Development and Outreach Manager
Salary Range:
£32,600, rising on an annual incremental basis. Girls Not Brides also offers a generous 10% pension contribution.
Contract:
This is a permanent full-time role, requiring the successful candidate to have the right to work in the United Kingdom at the time of applying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development, Grant Management, and Reporting:
- Develop concept notes and proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and donor requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation of budgets, work plans, and supporting materials for grant applications.
- Monitor grant timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements for compliance and accountability.
- Prepare timely and accurate donor reports and updates.
- Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors to expand Girls Not Brides’ network.
- Fundraising Strategy:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to diversify and increase funding.
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities from various sources.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximize fundraising opportunities.
- Outreach Events:
- Support the planning and implementation of events and outreach activities.
- Represent Girls Not Brides at meetings, conferences, and events to promote the organization’s mission.
- Wider Organizational Responsibilities:
- Commit to the mission, vision, and values of Girls Not Brides.
- Uphold the organization’s core values in all areas of work and interactions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and processes.

Person Specification:
Essential Experience:
- Significant professional experience in a similar role in the not-for-profit sector or international organizations.
- Proven track record of successfully securing grants and donations from diverse sources.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding written communication and ability to write for different audiences.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work in an international environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
