The Programme Management Analyst position at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) based in Suva, Fiji, presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with relevant education and experience to contribute to the implementation of the UNFPA Multi-Country Programme 2023-2027 for 14 Pacific Island Countries and Territories.

As the head of the Programme Management Support Unit (PMSU), the incumbent will collaborate closely with UNFPA’s Programme, Technical, M&E, and Operations Teams, as well as UNFPA Country Offices across the Pacific region. The Programme Management Analyst will provide advisory, analysis, coordination, and quality assurance support to the Senior Management Team of UNFPA Pacific, facilitating the effective planning, budgeting, implementation, review, monitoring, and knowledge management of the Multi-Country Programme. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination of programme/project revenue, budgeting, and expenditure, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, rules, and regulations.

Job Purpose:

As the Programme Management Analyst, you will assist the UNFPA Pacific Deputy Director/Representative in providing advisory, analysis, coordination, and quality assurance support to the Senior Management Team of UNFPA Pacific. You will lead the Programme Management Support Unit (PMSU) and collaborate with various teams within UNFPA Pacific, including Programme, Technical, Operations, and M&E Units, as well as UNFPA Country Offices across the region. Your responsibilities will include effective programme/project management, advisory support to senior management, and knowledge management.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Advanced University Degree (Masters) in Business Administration, International Relations, International Development, Sociology, Gender Studies, Economics, Law, Demography, Public Health, Medicine, or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive responsible professional experience in programme management, project financial management, and capacity development.
  • Proven track record of teamwork, coordination, and sound knowledge of the development landscape and social and cultural realities of the region.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as analytical skills.
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of MS Office packages, Google Workspace, and the Internet.

Languages:

Fluency in English and the national language is required.

Compensation and Benefits:
