Our Board of Directors comprises dedicated volunteers who bring their skills, experience, and passion to help fulfill our mission and strategy. Engaged and disciplined, they provide constructive feedback and value consensus decision-making.

The Position

Plan International Nigeria seeks to expand the membership of its board, aiming for diversity and inclusivity. We welcome professionals and public servants with backgrounds in various fields, including International Development, Accounting, Risk Management, Marketing, Philanthropy, Legal, Human Resources, and Organizational Development.

Interested candidates must embody our values of accountability, good governance, and a commitment to Plan International’s core values. Board membership is voluntary, reflecting a passion for community and country. Women and young people are particularly encouraged to apply.

Level of Commitment Required

  • Board Members meet at least four times per year, generally in March, June, September, and November.
  • Participation in up to 2 Committees may be required, with additional meetings possible.
  • Board Members are expected to work inclusively, cooperatively, and respectfully with other members and management.
  • This is a volunteer position, with reimbursement for travel and related expenses.
  • Must commit to a 3-year term, with the opportunity for renewal.
